BTL EMSELLA CHAIR TREATMENT
Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Hugo qualified as specialist in 2006 from the University of Stellenbosch with distinction (MMed Cum Laude, FCOG – CMSA). Thereafter she completed a 2 year fellowship under Professor Hennie Botha at Tygerberg hospital and obtained the sub specialist qualification in gynecological oncology at the College of Medicine South Africa. Her dissertation was about HPV and underlying high grade lesions of the cervix in patients living with HIV.
She obtained her primary qualification MBChB from the University of Stellenbosch in 1994 and thereafter completed her internship at Helderberg Hospital. This was followed by a year in England working in the NHS. On her return to South Africa she worked another 2 years at Helderberg Hospital and 5 years as general practitioner in Somerset West. She entered the specialist training programme in 2003.
Post graduate training includes the international Winners programme level I and II in minimal invasive surgery – laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. The Emsella chair for incontinence is available for suitable patients. She is part of Vergelegen Mediclinic Clinical Performance Committee.
She lives with her husband and two grown up children in Somerset West.
